Mission & Vision

Photo Club PDX was birthed, in 2017, from the desire to bring together photographers of varying interests, experience, and backgrounds, to create a community of monthly face to face connection with continuous personal and photographic growth, all the while engaging in regular creativity. The vision of this Club is to cultivate a safe and rich environment to spark, feed and nurture passion. Smaller focus groups sprout to life from the larger collective providing both individual and group relationships. Giving everyone an extensive and dynamic community to glean inspiration from both in and outside of the meetings. PCPDX is a place for developing and exploring your personal photographic ideas with a framework for diving deeper into your creative self.

Photo Club PDX is currently a diverse ONLINE community of digital and film photographers possessing the desire to explore ideas, get feedback and learn from one another. This community helps keep our passion alive and fresh in our continuously busy lives. During the COVID pandemic, you can find us on Instagram and Facebook.

We feed our passion to keep it alive.
We meet regularly to help each-other remain hungry.

Make your photos.
Find your passion.

PCPDX Resource Suggestions:

"Art & Fear" by David Bayles & Ted Orland

The book "Art & Fear" is our feature PCPDX recommend book. Art & Fear explores the way art gets made, the reasons it often doesn't get made, and the nature of the difficulties that cause so many artists to give up along the way. The book's co-authors, David Bayles and Ted Orland, are themselves both working artists, grappling daily with the problems of making art in the real world.
